Google has remained steady with its Pixel smartphones’ design over the last 3 Years. All the handsets rolled out in the lineup retain the similar back panel dual-tone look, front-facing speakers, and single camera. The only component of modification was the screen size and the width of the handsets. With Pixel 3 XL, we did see an additional change in the form of a notch-based screen paired with a chin but that was it. On the other hand, it seem like the future Pixel handset can come as a greeting modification for most as there may be a primary design alteration.
As cited by Max J (a tipster) on Twitter, Google presently has 3 design teams operating on Pixel handset design currently. These teams are operating separately and the most excellent design out of the 3 will be selected.
“I was informed that Google has 3 teams for design operating separately on new handsets. The most excellent design will then be selected. That is how Google will stop the design to flop again similar to that on the Pixel 3XL with its big notch!” claimed the tipster.
Speaking of Pixel, you do not have to wait for long to see Pikachu come alive in new methods. Before the long awaited Pokémon film, Google launched Detective Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Charizard, and Mr. Mime as Playmojis for the Playground mode in Pixel. As you can with other Playmojis in Google (earlier dubbed as AR stickers), you can use these characters into scenarios around you and communicate with them all the way with the Pixel’s cameras.
Google pledges that the four Pokémon sound and look just similar to their bigscreen peers. The firm also claimed that ARCore’s light estimation, motion tracking, and capability of understanding the real world make the group of four seem a bit more real.
